Collection: J. Herbin

Herbin inks come in a vibrant range of consistently beautiful colours. Their standard range tends to be quite 'solid' in colour, with a good depth even in finer nibs. Rouge Grenat is the nicest red we have, in fact. The standard range of inks can be very dry, however, so potentially not a good match for a Sailor or similarly dry pen.

Their fancier line of inks, from which Emeraude de Chivor comes, is a different matter. EdC is one of the wettest and worst behaved inks we have ever used – it is our nuclear test for paper – but it is also one of the most stunning inks out there. It's an ink every fountain pen fan needs to have at least sampled.
