This is the blue-black from Sailor's waterproof "nano pigment" inks, which is similar to the De Atramentis Document inks in using pigment to create a waterproof ink. It's relatively fast drying and well behaved. In colour it's similar to Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-Kai and Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black in that it has a decidedly greyish and muted tone, but it has no sheen and only minimal shading. If you want Shin-Kai but waterproof and suitable for poorer quality paper, this is a good choice – and my current daily driver.
