Sailor inks vary a great deal in performance (wet/dry etc), so it's difficult to give a general overview of them. Their one consistent feature, however, is interesting and unique nuances of colour; you may think that a teal with a red sheen is overdone, but you haven't seen Shikiori Yamadori yet.
